Created with the intention to conceal the identity of the models, to release them of inhibitions and strip their ego. At the very least, influence their identity.
Being stripped of your identity is death. Spiritual death is without decay or maggots but it is as real and as hideous as physical death.

The mask is prohibitive
It is heavy and falls forward, unless the model keeps it in place with a chopstick lodged between her teeth, making it impossible to respond to direction or to make requests.
